Interested in volunteering with us? Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
Museum Docent: Docents interact with visitors to share the rich history of Braddock’s Battlefield History Center and the region. Docents provide visitors with an orientation and/or a tour of the museum.
Programs/Events Volunteer: Volunteers assist with all aspects of special events and living history weekends, such as parking lot assistance and directing visitors. They also assist in event check-ins and event clean-up after the program ends.
Admissions Desk Volunteer: Volunteers assist with the sale of admission tickets and museum store merchandise. They also serve as concierges, advising visitors on local amenities as requested and ensuring a positive experience.
Commitment:
Docents: minimum one day per month during the regular season
Programs/Events & Admissions Desk Volunteer: minimum ten hours per year

Requirements:
Volunteers ages 18 and older must complete both Pennsylvania Act 33 Child Abuse and Act 34 Criminal Record checks
Volunteers must complete an interview with a BBHC staff member
Selected volunteers will receive training specific to their area of volunteering
